Hook'Em Guides 216 Triton Fishunter Guide Boat

Booking your trip with us will put you onboard our fully rigged state-of-the-art 2013Triton 216 Fishunter tournament boat with a 300hp Mercury Verado outboard motor which gets us to our destination in a hurry. A 9.9hp Mercury kicker motor is used for slow trolling and emergency use. This 21.6' rig will fish 5 people very comfortable without being crowded. For spring time fishing, we will use the Minn Kota Terrova Electric Bow Mount Trolling Motor with a wireless foot pedal which give us the freedom to fish anywhere on the boat with total control. This comes in handy when pulling spinners for those spring time walleye or fishing the bank line for bass. I have added this year a Power Pole shallow water ankor that will go 10'.

Our Triton has a full walk-thru windshield, fiberglass hull for a smooth and comfortable ride. It has three huge rod and storage lockers, one center locker for tackle, four pedestal seat bases, 1 enormous 40 gallon livewell to keep the fish fresh and alive, and 1 insulated cooler for drinks and food. Triton Boats didn't cut any corners when building this fine fishing machine.

The Electronics

Fishing for many years, we know the the electronics are one of the most important tools in fishing. Our Champion is fully equipped with three Lowrance chartplotter and depthfinder. In the Captain's Lowrance HDS Gen 2 Touchscreen 12 seat, we run the new HDS Gen 2 Touch 12's  High-Definition Broadband Fishfinder and Chartplotter. Easy to use touchscreen – Revolutionary new user interface provides lightning-fast, fingertip access to all HDS features. Intuitive menus, cursor assist, snap-to setting markers and innovative preview panes with quick-touch slider bars provide unparalleled control in all weather and water conditions. This unit also has the firstHDS Insight Mapping SIRIUS® inland weather service  allowing us to keep a close look on the latest local weather forecast for yours and our safety. In this unit we run the new Navionics Platinum+ 3D chartcards with TurboView for complete detail coverage and contours of the lakes.

The coolest thing about this HDS Gen 2 Touch 12 is it's SideScan Imaging Detail full-screen viewing for supercrisp detail with 480 ft./146 m side-to-side underwater coverage. The amazingLowrance Structure Scan HD StructureScan HD imaging feature shows targets as well as their imaging scan shadows – gamefish and baitfish alike. Merging Lowrance side and down sonar scans in split-screen gives you the absolute best of both worlds in high-detail panoramic imaging for fish- and structure-finding on your HDS display. SideScan for wide-area surveys. DownScan Imaging for more well-defined scrutiny. Together, the clearest way to view and attack sweet spots ever devised. Cursor over locations for helpful depth and distance detail for new precision in bait or lure presentations, or to set a waypoint. You’ve never seen anything like this before. Because there’s never been anything like it before.

I you want the side imaging coverage of a lake, just bring a 4 meg SD card with you and we can record any structure or targets you want. This is a huge tool in today fishing.

Also in the Captain's seat, we run a LCX18C, 8" color display with super high resolution for great
mapping detail. This unit is a back up unit which we run mostly the chartplotter for full detail when using the Great Plains Mapping onboard color contour map to stay on trails or for marking or locating wavepoints.

On tLowrance HDS Gen 2 Touchscreen 12 he bow we also have a HDS Gen 2 Touch 12. A 200 kHz
wide transducer on the head of he trolling motor for accurate reading up front. This unit has an external precision GPS+WAAS satellite antenna to mark wavepoints or areas of interest. We also use a Great Plains Mapping onboard  SD map with color contours and bottom structure.
